Blog

In this space, I will be posting blogs with the inspiration behind some of my ideas. I am excited to share a little piece of myself with everyone!

Introduction!

Hello! My name is Keiara and I'm lucky enough to be the mom to 3 beautiful girls. I live in small town Southeast Iowa but I'm from Western Montana. My entire life I've loved helping in the kitchen. I was able to learn from my nana, grammie, gram, and my mom. All of them have their own styles and way of doing things and I've taken what I've learned and twisted it to my own way of doing things. I started on my own in the kitchen pretty young. I would go through all the cookbooks my mom had and choose a three course meal. My parents would take me to the store to get all my ingredients and I'd go to work. My love of food has definitely carried over to adulthood and I find so much joy in the kitchen. I love sharing my cooking with friends and family. I hope I can be of inspiration to others as well!

I'm quickly learning that getting my recipe section full is going to take longer than I thought! I guess all of my measuring with my heart and not real measurements is coming back to haunt me. I promise I'll be sitting down and attempting to make some more of my recipes with real measurements. To those that have found me or to my friends and family just bare with me. I'm super excited to be doing this!

Alfredo!

I think that Alfredo has always been a fan favorite in my house. My kids LOVE all things cheese! For my birthday last year I made steak and shrimp and homemade Alfredo and they constantly request it. I've been changing up and perfecting my recipe for this since I was in high school. It's one of those things that's so incredibly simple to make and just as easy to store. I love making things that are low maintenance especially on a busy night or when you've had a long day at work and just aren't feeling it. You can freeze it, can it, and it does hold well in the fridge. I've also found that Alfredo is an incredible asset to grilled vegetables. There is just a certain depth of flavor with the char and the richness of the Alfredo. I personally love making things that are super versatile because I can use it with all the things and it's a time saver. I think every mom can agree that if you can save time you do! If you follow me as I continue on this journey I promise you'll see many things with one of my favorite sauces.
